the story

The story of Ryan and Lisa goes back over 14 years. They went to high school together and had similar interests such as soccer, school trips, and being involved in the school plays. They also worked at the same restaurant in Lake Mills throughout high school.

They were friends during this time in high school but eventually lost touch with each other as they went off to college. Several years after graduating from college they found themselves both living in the Madison area.

One night out in Madison in the spring of 2005 Ryan and Lisa ran into each other.

Over the course of the next several months they went out occasionally and got to know each other as friends. Being that they both liked to travel, Ryan asked Lisa to go on a radio station trip to Jamaica. Ryan needed a roommate for the trip and Lisa agreed to go with him on this Caribbean trip in January of 2006.

As they spent more time as friends, a relationship began to form. A couple of weeks before the Jamaica trip, this friendship turned into something more. This put a little pressure on them seeing that their 3rd date as a couple would be a week long trip to the Caribbean.

Everything worked out fine, they survived and the rest is history.

They still love to travel and do so as often as they can.

This travel bug is what prompted the proposal in Las Vegas in April 2008 and why they are having the wedding ceremony in Jamaica, back at the same resort as their 3rd date - Breezes Runaway Bay.
