THE PHOTOGRAPHER

My name is Robin Kempfer, I am a wedding photographer. I've had the pleasure of documenting over 300 weddings in Madison, WI and other parts of the world over the past 15 years. I have followed the creative and artistic approaches of Annie Leibovitz and studied under 1 of the 10 Best Wedding Photographers in the world, Bambi Cantrell. I approach every wedding as an opportunity to excel and I never settle for "good enough".

THE PERSON

"I'm a small town girl at heart and always will be. I workout so I can eat bad. I am not perfect but I am a perfectionist. I don't love running but I do it because it makes me feel alive. I love volleyball, chocolate, tropical vacations and driving my Jeep with the top down. I have a great husband and two animated cats. I am truly blessed to be a part of one of the most memorable and emotional days in any woman's life, her wedding day.

THE APPROACH

I was taught that good photography starts with good lighting and that is how I approach every situation. I start with my subject, you. I look at your skin tone, hair color, eye color and clothing and then I balance that with lighting and a background that compliments it all. Lastly, I find a pose that expresses your personality and emotion, without over-posing you. I look for natural expressions that tell a story and then I document it.
